EDEC Certificate of Completion

Our programs are designed for flexibility:
Students may begin with any class, take courses in any order, and complete the program at their own pace—within a 12-month period.

Once all required classes and driving lessons are completed, students must request their certificate via our website.

We strive to upload certificates to the DMV system promptly upon request. However, certificates cannot be issued if we are missing required information or payments.

⚠️ Please note:

  • You cannot schedule a road test without this certificate.

  • If you complete the Full Teen Program, this certificate also reduces your road test wait time from 180 days to 120 days.

Pricing Note

Classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel lessons are purchased separately, unless otherwise included in the package purchased.

DRIVING LESSONS:

Lesson Duration

Each standard driving lesson is 60 minutes long. A double lesson is 120 minutes and counts as two lessons from the student’s package. Please note: Instructors, staff members, or other students may occasionally be present in the car for observation purposes.

Instructor Delays

While we strive to begin all lessons on time, unforeseen delays (e.g., traffic) may occasionally occur. If an instructor is late, the missed time will either be added to the end of the current lesson or applied to a future lesson.

No-Show Policy

A student will be considered a no-show if any of the following occur:

  • The student is unable to attend the lesson for any reason

  • The student arrives 15 minutes late or more

  • The student does not have a valid permit/license

  • The student does not bring required corrective eyewear (glasses or contact lenses)

In the event of a no-show:

  • The lesson fee will be forfeited, and no refund will be issued.

  • The student may repurchase the missed lesson at a discounted rate of $40.00 / 60-min session.

(The student may request a fee waiver if the no-show was due to a medical emergency unforeseen 24 hours leading up to the lesson time and provides a signed medical note. the office will review and make a determination on a case by case scenario)

Rescheduling Policy

Lessons can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance using the confirmation email received at the time of booking: Voicemails, text messages, emails, or verbal notices to instructors or office staff do not qualify as official cancellations.

Meeting the Instructor

  • If your lesson is scheduled outside of office hours, please wait at the office with a parent/guardian until your instructor arrives. Instructors are often scheduled back-to-back and will return promptly at your scheduled time. If you leave the location, you will be considered a no-show. Unless otherwise confirmed in writing by the office, all lessons begin at our office.

  • Pick-up/drop-off from an alternate location is only available for double lessons, and only when our schedule permits. If the instructor is unable to locate the student, he/she will attempt to contact using the phone number or email on file. If the student is not in a visible location or does not respond, the lesson will be considered a no-show.

End of Lesson Protocol
