LESSON 01
On lesson 01 we focus on the basics of driving including pre-entry/pre-drive checks, vehicle controls, hand positions (hand-over-hand vs. push and pull) and driving the vehicle in reverse. These skills will be the basis of parking maneuvers learned on future lessons. Lesson 01 also addressed the second section of the DMV road test "Getting Ready to Drive".
LESSON 02
On lesson 02 student drivers drive on low-traffic streets to work on practical skills. On this lesson we make sure students can properly pull over and pull away from the curb, judge distances (central/peripheral visions and blind spots), develop a visual lead as well as work on following and stopping distances.
LESSON 03

On lesson 03 students focus on city-environment driving executing daily maneuvers that are crucial to their road test success. You practice driving and turning lane positions, lane changes and turning around exercises including the 3-point turn (k-turn) which is part of most road tests. It is also the goal of this lesson to practice most types of right-of-way traffic controls.
LESSON 04
Lesson 04 continues to build upon lesson 3's curriculum. It starts with a review of the main areas and expands into right-of-way rules at intersections with traffic light, stop signs (all-way, 3-way) and roundabout rules. On lesson 04 we start students on forward parking maneuvers and reverse parking to the right.
LESSON 05
Our lesson 05 is primarily a parking lesson going over the step-by-step ways to park the vehicle forward (right/left), in reverse (right/left) and parallel parking. Our goal is to finish this lesson with a solid understanding of parking maneuvers to spend as much time at home practicing these skills until your road test date.
LESSON 06
It's time for the highway on lesson 06; that is if you are ready for it. The instructor starts this lesson by conducting a safety review of the student's skills and if it is safe, we practice highway driving focusing on entering the highway properly, lane changes, hazard recognition, the move-over" law and exiting the highway.
LESSON 07
It is time for a review. This is an opportunity to bring all your questions and focus on your primary concerns. We look over your performance at prior lessons and cover anything that was not understood 100%. Do you still have questions about parking, intersections or 3-point turns? Now is the time to put those to bed.
LESSON 08
Lesson 8 is a mock test where we observe more and interject less. The more you can independently execute maneuvers on your own, the better the chance to pass your road test. On this test we drive on likely road test routes and discuss the road test point system.
